Angus Lamond PhD, FRSE, FRS

Professor Angus Lamond, co-founder of Dundee Cell Products, received a BSc in Molecular Biology in 1981 (Glasgow) and a PhD in Molecular Biology in 1984 (Cambridge). He conducted postdoctoral training with Professor Phillip Sharp, MIT and in 1987 moved to the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg as a Group Leader.

In 1995, he moved to the University of Dundee as Professor of Biochemistry and was awarded a Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellowship. He is the Director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Gene Regulation & Expression and his laboratory studies structure/function relationships and dynamic processes in the cell nucleus, using a combination of quantitative proteomics and time-lapse imaging techniques.
