Dundee Cell Products offers a high quality and reliable gene synthesis service at very competitive prices. Our chemists and molecular biologists have extensive experience in handling long and complex genes.

Genes up to 2Kb are normally synthesized and shipped out in 2-3 weeks!

We aim to provide the highest customer satisfaction for our service.

We offer two types of Gene Synthesis service to help balance your needs and your budget:

1) Standard Gene Synthesis and 2) Fragment Synthesis!

 

Summary of Standard Gene Synthesis Service

1. Synthesis of your gene of interest to 100% accuracy.

2. Cloning into our standard vector (pBlueScript or pUC) or any vector of your choice.

 

Deliverables:

1. 2-10 µg of lyophilized plasmid DNA.

2. QC documentation including sequence chromatograms. Electronic version of the data sent by e-mail.

 

Service Specifications:

1. Codon optimization is provided to customers free of charge and available on request e.g. codon preference for host organism, secondary structure removal, GC content adjustment, addition or removal of restrictions sites. Single-host vs. multi-host codon optimization for over-expression is available.

2. Gene construction: design and construction of an entire gene. Cloning of the synthetic gene into our standard vector or your vector of choice.

3. DNA Sequencing: Sequencing of synthesized gene is carried out to confirm the integrity of the gene sequence. We will deliver a product matching 100% your requested sequence.

 

Standard Price and Timeline:

1. Discounts are available for first time/academic customers.

2. 39p/base for genes up to about 2Kb in length.

3. Free codon optimization on request.

4. Minimum charge £195 per gene.

5. Free sub-cloning into our standard vector. To subclone the synthetic gene into your plasmid of choice, our prices start from £450 if choosing your own vector.

6. Timeline: 18-21 working days for standard projects.

 

Summary of Fragment Synthesis Service

1. Synthesis of your fragment of interest, ready to be cloned.

2. Suitable for gene variant pool or library construction.

3. Sequence *NOT* verified by sequencing.

 

Deliverables:

Double stranded unphosphorylated, agarose gel-purified DNA fragment.

Guaranteed enough for at least 10 independent subclonings. Free resynthesis in case more material is needed.

 

Service Specifications:

1. Optional codon optimization with no extra charges is included. Single-host vs. multi-host codon optimization for over-expression is available.

2. High GC no problem.

3. Recommended for genes <850 bp only.
