DNA Cloning Services

Dundee Cell Products Ltd offers cloning services that include;

1. Preparation of various expression constructs from customer's plasmids

2. Site-directed mutagenesis or other modification of customer-supplied constructs

3. Production of constructs for use in chimeric/fusion protein production

4. Constructs for gene expression knockdown

5. Preparation of constructs for gene replacement following knockdown or knockout of endogenous gene expression

Our service is flexible and adaptable to the customer's requirements. We can produce DNA clones in your vector of choice using known and novel sequences of DNA from plasmid, cosmid, genomic DNA's, total or polyA+ RNAs, genomic and cDNA libraries (produced in phage or plasmids). We can clone DNA from any species using customer-supplied material. Customer provides us with the following;

Sequence Information of the gene to be cloned

Template (DNA fragment, plasmid or viral construct, genomic DNA, cDNA, mRNA, cells, etc for use in cloning the customer's gene of interest

Destination vector information for cloning their DNA fragment (i.e sequence, selection markers, cloning sites, promoters, E. coli strain or other host for maintenance of vector, etc).

We do and offer the customer the following;

Design of cloning strategy in consultation with the customer

Design and synthesis of high quality oligonucleotides for PCR or RT-PCR

Quality control (QC) of DNA clones by sequencing DNA insert on both strands

Customer receives QC data from sequencing

Customer retains all intellectual property rights to the data and clones produced

Customer receives DNA clone in their vector of choice for large-scale DNA preparation
